Forever Queer
Forever Queer, at Charleston Heights Arts Center in Las Vegas, July 2023. The Candle, Lemon, and Polynoculars are reworked older sculptures from my practice that I never showed publicly, polished up as an act of persistence and renewal as a form of survival. The candle addition represents a memorial for our lost queer ancestors, but also a continuation...the constant journey of being queer and excluded and hidden, but still burning by the passions that unite us, celebrating our existence and ability to survive despite a lack of support for our contributions in the world.
